Cavity wall insulation
The space between an interior wall and an exterior wall is a cavity. The space in between can be filled with insulation material.
Cavity wall insulation keeps the heat inside in the winter and the heat outside in the summer. This saves you on energy costs and it also has positive consequences for the environment.
The payback period for cavity wall insulation is on average between 3 and 4 years! This makes it one of the most economical forms of insulation. This form of insulation also increases the value of the rental or owner-occupied home.
Floor insulation
Fed up with cold feet and damp in the house? Then have your floor insulated. That feels good and your energy bill goes down. If you have a crawl space, it can easily be done at the bottom.
Your home will feel more comfortable with an insulated floor. The insulation layer blocks cold air and moisture from the crawl space and the heat in your home retains better. No slipper can match that! Because you lose less heat, your central heating boiler (or heat pump) doesn’t have to work as hard and your energy consumption goes down. Also pleasant for the environment.
Soil insulation
With soil insulation, the crawl space is filled with soil insulation beads or insulation chips. The chips consist of 99.6% air, which gives the chips a high insulation value.
Cold and moisture remain at the bottom of the house and no longer rise to the floor. This makes the floor 3 to 6 degrees warmer. In 90% of cases, ground insulation is ideal for crawl spaces that are lower than 50 centimeters.
Insulation repair
Homes that were insulated between 1969 and 1999 are eligible for insulation repair.
The insulation of these houses has usually deteriorated or has not been properly installed during that time. This can cause moisture to condense and this can manifest itself in mold formation.
If your home is eligible for insulation repair, an investigation must first be carried out to see what material has been used to insulate.
You can choose to have the existing insulation topped up with today’s insulation material. There is also the option to have the old material removed.
Glass Insulation
If you currently have a home with only single glazing, then installing double glazing or HR glazing can have many advantages for you. People often immediately opt for HR++ or even triple glazing. HR glass can also be a good choice in itself. It is often difficult to make a choice, because, for example, HR++ glass is unnecessary in a shed, but single glass is just too cold for a shed. By installing HR insulating glass, your energy label will immediately increase and you can save a lot on your energy bill!
Solar panels
Solar panels ensure that sunlight is converted into electricity. It thus produces its own sustainable energy through a green energy source.
If you choose to have solar panels installed, this installation will consist of a number of solar panels, cabling and an inverter. Not only does installing solar panels have a positive impact on the environment, but you also save on energy costs.
